INSIDE OF GREEK FERRIES
Lissos (Ex-Ferry Hamanasu, 20,454G/T)
This is "Ex-Ferry Hamanasu"(Shin Nihonkai Ferry). The present name is "Lissos"(Anek Lines).
I will show you some photos from a brochure of Anek Lines. I hear these photos are those of Kriti‡T(Ex-New Suzuran (1979), 27,667G/T) or Kriti‡U(Ex-New Yukari (1979), 27,239G/T). This is "Inside of Greek Ferries"!!
Facilities
Reception
This is a reception. This is a photo of Olympic Champion maybe. Olympic Champion is a new ship of Anek Lines. It looks like a cruise ship, like "Dawn Princess" (Princess Cruises). Of course, I've never gone on board her before, but I think this is one of the best ferries in Greece.
Lobby
This is the very image of Japanese ferries. This is the same lobby of them.
Discotheque
Japanese ferries don't have disco. Why not? I don't know why not.
Bar
Some Japanese ferries have bars like this. But I prefer Greek bars to Japanese ones.
Casino
In Japan, gambling is prohibited in principle by law. So Japanese ferries don't have casino like this. They have "game center" (penny arcade) instead of casino.
Restaurant
Restaurant
Wow! This is the same restaurant of Japanese ferries.
But food is different. This is a Greek cuisine, isn't it? I don't know how to eat it:-) Please tell me how to eat!
Kid's Room
Shop
Japanese ferries have Kid's Room and shop, too.
Chapel
But they don't have chapel. They have "Kamidana" in bridge instead of chapel. "Kamidana" is an unique equipment of Japanese ships. Talisman from shrines are placed on top of the lintel and prayers for safety of voyage.
Accommodation
Cabins of most Japanese ferries are separated 4 grades. "Suite room", "Special class", "1st class", "2nd class". An unique cabin is "2nd class" room. 2nd class is a large carpeted room and there is no privacy. But the fare is very cheap. If you select 2nd class, you save a lot of money, but you must be patient. Do you select 2nd class?
